郑州机械研究所是我国齿轮传动、机械强度与振动、新型钎焊材料和化学标样等行业的技术归口单位，建有15个国家级和省部级科技创新平台和行业服务平台，承担完成了许多国家重大工程、重大装备的科研攻关任务，成功解决了三峡、葛洲坝、海洋工程等多项重大工程中的核心技术难题,研制填补国内空白的首台（套）新产品180余个，制修订国家标准178项，获得各种科技奖励近1000项，其中获得国家级和省部级奖励220余项。
郑州机械研究所由郑州市内的研发总部、高新区产业园区和龙湖产业园区组成，占地近300亩，科研生产建筑面积8万平方米，拥有各种生产、检测和试验设备仪器1000多台套，建成了高参数齿轮箱、新型焊接材料与焊接工艺设备、精密铸锻件、机电一体化成套设备等产业基地，长期为国内外客户提供优质的产品和服务，竭诚满足客户通用化和个性化的需求。
